		<description>Thank you so much!  Just tried it and it worked like a charm.  Little difference: I used latest version (2.3.9) and found out that I didn&#039;t have to do the few last steps (flagging .c as headers, and ASM errors).</description>

		<description>Alfred. Great post. I found it extremely useful. There are a couple of things that I can add though:

1) I am using freetype-2.3.12 and found that a file may have changed name. Your instructions say that you have XCode treat &#039;base/ftnames.c&#039; as a header. This file looks to have changed name to &#039;base/ftsnames.c&#039; (note the addition of an &#039;s&#039; in the filename).

2) More importantly, if the warnings &quot;no rule to process file&quot; warnings are getting annoying (they are for me because I treat warnings as errors while I develop and I dont like them lingering around and hiding new warnings), then within XCode you can simply remove the files from the target.

Doing this is simple. If you select the TrueType folder within XCode, then on the right you&#039;ll see all the files listed and on the far right. In the target column you&#039;ll see tick boxes which mean the file is to be built for the target. If you untick the files that were marked to be treated as header files, then your warnings will go away :)</description>
